Broken

I said before that the lens for my camera is broken. After several tries to find the right store, I got a new one, a 50mm, f1.8 which is awesome. Whats not awesome is that my camera is also broken. Yeah. Its still sort of possible to use it though, at least outside. The thing is, if I take pictures with the camera set to auto they come out like this or darker. If I follow the light metre on my camera they also turn out like this.

So I have to set it to manual and use settings that means the pictures should be completely overexposed which is what the light metre tell me they will be. Im guessing this means that something in my camera that lets light in or something might be broken. Im thinking about taking it to a store to get it checked out. Im just afraid its gonna cost a lot of money.

Fiesta en Alfaz

These last few days there’s been fiesta (literally party/holiday) in Alfaz del Pi. These days are public holidays, so everyone’s is free to celebrate.

Friday

These guys were just sitting there on the sidewalk, playing.

Saturday

Outside a penya. Penyas are places that a group of friends get together and rent and then they party there for the duration of the fiesta. They buy lots of alcohol and food and share it with people that come into the penya. Pretty good, yes?

On saturday we stayed out until around 6am. It was a good night. Then I was woken up at 2pm by a chainsaw outside the house.

We didn’t go out on sunday cause we were exhausted so we spent the day sleeping, reading and sleeping some more.

Monday

Carrefocs, walking fireworks.

Monday was great. We went out to a couple of bars here in Alfaz with nice people and had a good time. Although when we got back home, probably around 5, I couldnt sleep. I’ve probably slept like 3 hours since whenever I woke up on monday.

Tuesday

No real partying tonight, we just went down to Alfaz to see what was going on and to watch a firework display which we missed.

Tomorrow it’s back to school.

Sleeplessness

Shortest test ever? Don’t be fooled by the lack of writing people, it was actually quite a lot of work, and 45 minutes was not really enough time. But circumstances gave us only that amount of time.

From yesterday. Studying spanish at school outside in the sun. It could be worse. Oh and today I have the day off, its 27 degrees outside and the sun is shining. Not bad for november, right?
