Shortest test ever? Don’t be fooled by the lack of writing people, it was actually quite a lot of work, and 45 minutes was not really enough time. But circumstances gave us only that amount of time.

From yesterday. Studying spanish at school outside in the sun. It could be worse. Oh and today I have the day off, its 27 degrees outside and the sun is shining. Not bad for november, right?

It began in England in the 1600s. People started living longer and having more children. Factories started popping up. The workers often worked 12 to 15 hours.
In Norway people also worked long hours. And women only got paid half as much as men, even though they did the exact same work. It wasnt until 1892 that the government passed a law that sais you had to be 12 years old to work in the factories. And that if you were under 18 you could “just” work for 10 hours.
Most people had to work overtime to survive. And vacation was completely out of the question.
It seems like we’ve got it pretty good.
I am trying to study for the history test that I have tomorrow and I’m realising that I can’t even remember the last time that I studied for a test in school. It was probably the year before I went to Australia. So I am completely out of practice. I’m also really tired cause I slept like 4 hours tonight. And I dont like mondays. All this adds up to me not being in a very good mood and I wish I could put on a dvd/read and eat chocolate instead of trying (in vain) to study. Or just go to sleep.
Just thought I’d share with you all how little I like this day. Yeah. Hope your monday’s better than mine.

This picture is of no relevance to what I wrote, except that I would much rather like to be there than here right now.
Buenas noches
Yesterday Stine and I were going to go and buy a new lens for my camera. We were going to a mall called La Marina. And there was a trainstop called La Marina. So it is logical that we would go there right? The thing was that it took a long time before we were even close to that stop. A lot longer than when we caught the train the other day. So we realised that we had gone way too far and just got off at the next stop. It was in the middle of nowhere.
And this bar was there, so we went in. We had some wine and there were some nice people so we stayed a while.

This fox showed up outside the bar. It got some sausages.
But we had train to catch, so we went back to the trainstation. Except the train was nowhere to be seen. So we went back to the bar.

Stine with two wineglasses because the barowner insisted we had to try this wine called the norwegian princess or something...
We had some more wine, and at some point of time ended up at a different bar a little bit closer to Alfaz (which is where we live). At this bar they made some very nice mojitos.

The mojito I mentioned above
At last we ended up back home. With no lens for my camera. But it was a great night so it was okay.

We walked to the store and got wine, cheese and salty biscuits. We walked around the supermarket for ages looking for the biscuits and in the end, after trying to ask a couple of people that worked there we found one that spoke english. Then we walked back home.

The other day my beloved camera had a rather unfortunate meeting with the floor and the lens broke. Which means that until I get around to getting a new one I cant take any pictures. So I am not sure what to post here. Is there anything you want me to write about? Or take crappy cell phone pictures of? I will try to get a new lens soon though.
Today I cleaned up my room and unpacked my suitcase. Amazing transformation, no?

We meant to go bouldering tonight, but it turned out that we needed some kind of license that we couldnt get there so we ended up going climbing in the mountains instead. No, not really. But almost.

This is the “mountain” that we climed. It is pretty high, and its really steep on both sides and only a few metres across so you actually get a kick out of walking along that edge.

And I just noticed that this is the 100th post =)
On sunday something out of the usual happened: I got up at 7am! The reason was that I was going scuba diving with two other norwegian girls. After breakfast and an hour of travelling I met up with them in Albir. We found the diving store and I was very happy to find out that at least one guy spoke decent english. After getting and putting together (with only minor difficulties) our gear, stowing it all in the trailer and then stowing ourselves in a dingy minivan we were on our way.
We took a boat out to the spot where we were gonna dive and got ready. It was the first time in a long time I put on all that gear and I remembered how heavy it all is!
As we were in a boat we sat on the edge with our tank outside the boat and then let ourselves fall backwards into the water. Its fun.
I have no idea how long we were down there for but we went down to 23 metres which is the deepest Ive ever been. The season is ending so visibility wasn’t amazing but we did see some cool stuff including an octopus! It freaked my out a little bit but it wasnt very big. When it fled from us it ejected a cloud of ink, that was pretty cool.
It was great to dive again, and I’ll probably go again when spring comes and the conditions get better which means we can dive at lots more spots including some underwater caves, which sounds rather interesting.
Crappy photo from my cell phone because I didnt bring my camera
